As we grow up , we learn to enjoy food that we dislike when we were young. We gobble up that brocolli which we used to try and feed our dogs with. Second helpings of celery are very much welcomed.
Does this also happens in other aspect of life? Bittersweet experience become part of who we are and is something that we brag about.
Sad events becomes a milestone in our story that we will pass on to our grandchildren.
Stories of delinquencies are told during dinnertimes to wide eyed listeners.
All the parts of our life is one tapestry woven to perfection by our maker. Though we make mistakes and unravel the cloth sometimes the Maker is still in control and continues weaving.
I do wonder sometimes if I make such a big blooper in my life that it cannot be woven again . That I even sabotage my life so badly with wrong decisions and stubborness that there is no turning back. I hope not and there is promise of redemption in the Bible. You are not too bad to be redeem.
In Psalms139, the Psalmist narrates on how God form him with great meticulousness and precision. And then he gave credit to God for makng such a wonderful human being - that being him or maybe her (Sometimes I think this part of Psalms is written by a woman)
That sound quite humourous and egoistic when I first read it. It seems to me like the Psalmist was proud of himself.
Later it dawned upon me that every individual need to be proud of who they are. And this pride should come from the knowledge and truth that God has made us perfect!
If this pride is attributed to something else then it is an error
Some people sometimes seems so confident and a lot of people envy them. This confidence may seem valuable but because it lies in themselves. I have no knowledge to write about this and I shall speak no more of this matter.
I just have faith that confidence in God is the right thing to do as of now.
