Now we all know that breastmilk is the best food for infants. Not for onen species called the caecilian. These young caecilian will feed of the mother's skin. Not that it is sacrificial. Hey this is natural facial for the mother. And the babes are doing it for her for no cost.
We female humans need to pay a few hundred bucks for facial. Now why can our new born also feed on our skin so that we get brand new skin for show.
It is observed that the mummy cecilian skin becomes more nutrituous and thicker when she gives birth. Perhaps one reason is that she does not have breast to give mild so this is kind of like a breasfeeding process by another name. Call it skin feeding if you may.
Unlike mammals , the young cecilian already have teeth .. ouch when you think of it. And if you google it and find the picture you will be totally gross out.
But it is definitely mother nature at work and I am at awe
