Today I tried a new Chinese Phrase I learned online with my Chinese Speaking roomate. Even after I repeated it 3 times to her she looked at me as though I have grown another head. Perhaps my intonation was incorrect and therefore she thought that I was speaking Hindi instead of Mandarin.
Or perhaps the word that I used was not commonly used even among the Chinese speaking community. I can't write down the words here because I don't even know the correct Han Yu Pin Yin. But the word means unprecedented in English.
