Recently on BBC news, I read with amusement that the Brits are gonna make cooking class compulsary in school.
This is an effort to teach those young uns' the basics of healthy cooking so that they do not have to revert to fast food everytime mom works late.
But I do wonder how feasible this implemantation is going to be. Cooking takes time and not all individuals like cooking even if they do have the skills to do it.
Appropiate research should be done to find out if the kids really are ignorant about cooking.
How about increasing the price of fast food or even pass the law so that outlets can only serve healthy dish to those under 21. Those who insist on fast food would have to show their ID to prove that they are of age.
Another brilliant idea would originate from Singapore. In this squeaky clean country cigareete boxes would depict picture of cancerous body part unwhet the appetite of smokers. The same could be done for fast food packets showing obese individuals / blocked arteries / other ailments.
On second thought seeing how effective those gross cigarette boxes were I seriously doubt thios method wil pull through.
